whats a distinction for edexcel? some teachers say it exists and others disagree. i would appreciate if someone would shed some light onto this topic.

I think to get the highest mark in a subject is known as distinction. :|

Really? I thought I heard some teachers say it was some thing like getting 95% up or 90% up in a subject?! But then again, you never know. ;)

yep as cyborg said to get the highest mark in a subject that is what distinction is and ya you never know the range I mean there is no specific range for distinction.

i think it generally depends and it can be over 90% or over 95%.

I reckon they have distinctions in the AEA paper, not the A level itself....

Well you were right CYBORG distinction is getting the highest marks and ayyaz there are 2 types of distinctions regional and worldly. rewgional is the one you get by obtaining highest marks in yuour country i guess so and world-wide is tyhe one you get by obtaining highest in the whole world who gave papers in that session. otherwise there's no limit of marks in this case.
tjhis was what i knew if i am wrong please kindly correct me as i would like to get more info about it.

There are two types of distinctions,one is regional(the highest in your country) and another is world wide(the highest in the world).
